The Biggest Mistake Holding Women Back From Losing Weight
You don't need to work harder!
Hey Loves,
For six years, I was a macro coach, teaching women to track every bite, balance macros, and hit perfect numbers. I did it, too—logging food, eating loads of veggies, following all the “rules.”
And then my body stopped cooperating.
My legs felt heavy, then numb, then painful. Neuropathy, they said—a catch-all for unexplained leg pain. No answers, just frustration.
I had to stop training the way I knew. I had to rethink everything.
That’s when I realized: your body isn’t a calculator.
Yes, macros tell you important info, but obsessing over them? Micromanaging every bite? That’s not the key to real, lasting health.
I see so many women stuck—counting, restricting, over-exercising—yet still feeling stuck.
But when I shifted my focus from tracking to listening—eating nutrient-dense, single-ingredient foods, fueling instead of restricting—everything changed.
✔️ My energy returned.
✔️ My inflammation calmed.
✔️ My legs stopped hurting as much.
✔️ And as a side effect? I’ve lost 30 lbs since September.
The problem isn’t that you’re not working hard enough.
It’s that you’re working too hard on the wrong things.
Let’s fix that.
🍽 FOOD: This Week’s Recipe
I love meals that make eating healthy simple and delicious. This week, I’m sharing Cheeseburger Pie —packed with protein, easy to make, and completely in line with working with yoServings: 6
Ingredients
1.5 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon tallow, or cooking fat of choice, separated
1 medium onion diced
4 whole eggs
½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon ground mustard
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round pie plate or 8×8-inch baking dish.
Lightly brown the meat in cooking fat over medium-high heat in a heavy-bottomed skillet or cast iron. Transfer to pie plate once cooked.
Add a little more fat to the skillet and brown the onions until translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Stir frequently.
While the onions cook, whisk the eggs. Add herbs, salt and pepper.
Pour over the beef so it sinks into the meat. Shake the dish gently if needed.
Arrange the onions in an even layer over the eggs and meat.
Top the whole pie with cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow the cheeseburger pie to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
💪 FITNESS: Move Your Body, Feel the Difference
Exercise should support your body, not punish it. This week, I challenge you to shift your mindset from “burning calories” to building strength and resilience.
Faith: Trusting the Process
Sometimes, the biggest transformation isn’t in what we do—it’s in what we believe. f you’ve been feeling stuck in your health journey, I encourage you to pause and ask: Am I trying to control everything, or am I trusting that my body is capable of healing when given the right tools?
Faith isn’t just about trusting God with the big things—it’s about surrendering the daily things, too.
